Four teachers from KFSS spent a few days at LACUE this year. I think we all learned many new things we will be able to bring back into the classroom. I would like to share the websites I learned about or was reminded of while at LACUE. Hopefully you can find something that will be useful in your classroom. AR Flashcards
This website provides printable cards for the alphabet, space, and colors/shapes. The app allows you to scan the cards to get the augmented reality experience.
Aurasma
This website will show you examples of how Aurasma can be used. It will also explain how to create your own Aurasma. The app allows you to create Aurasmas and scan things to see the augmented content. Check out the dollar bill with Aurasma.

The Tortoise and the Hare App by Arloon Kids
Discover a new way to read books: paint the characters as you want, aim your camera and you will see them appear in 3D through the Augmented Reality. Furthermore, you can interact with them and listen to the narration of the tale in English and Spanish.
AR Dinopark
Bring back ancient dinosaurs to life in front of eyes! Using augmented reality let the ancient dinosaurs appear in various scenes taken by camera as if they are alive.
Zookazam
A beautiful Augmented Reality app that does not require a printed marker. Now you can use just about any surface to create your own AR marker. Imagine watching a giraffe towering over computer keyboard or a horse galloping on top of a newspaper. This app includes 40+ animals. Teach students what animals eat, where they live, their conservation status , and other interesting facts.
Quiver
Formerly ColAR, this app brings coloring pages to life. Some coloring pages are available for free, but others you must pay to have access to in the app.
Spacecraft 3D
NASA's Spacecraft 3D is an augmented reality (AR) application that lets you learn about and interact with a variety of spacecraft that are used to explore our solar system, study Earth, and observe the universe. Using a printed AR Target and the camera on your mobile device, you can get up close with these robotic explorers, see how they move, and learn about the engineering feats used to expand our knowledge and understanding of space.

This site is associated with 6 different AR apps, 3 for the elementary grades (plants, mental math, and the solar system) and 3 for middle school (geometry, anatomy, and chemistry). There is a link at the top of the website to switch to the English version of the page.
Elements 4D
Bring the elements of the periodic table to life. This website has printable element cubes that you can use with the Elements 4D app. The site also has lesson plans for elementary and middle school.

Monocle is a feature that allows you to view businesses around you by using the camera on your device and pointing it at your surroundings.
